We learned about active volcanoes during our hike to top of "Volcan San Antonio" in 2019. After going to the rim of the volcano, we visited their visitor's center to learn about the history of past eruptions, and how the local, companies, and government prepare for these eruptions. After 1949 eruption, many people emigrated to Venezuela.

San Antonio Volcano in La Palma, Canary Islands. We hiked to border of circular crater to see the inside of volcano, the ocean, banana farms, and how lava destroyed South side all the way to the sea.

We are learning about respecting marked trails and obey local authorities. Do not attempt to go into a volcano if there are activation warnings.

Lava rivers solidify or go down to the sea. Many houses and farms are seen and local people, companies and government are prepared for possible eruptions.
