Sepharad Chronicles: Our Quest for Semah de Valencia. Sagunto Jewish Quarter

Dr. Jose G. Lepervanche Valencia
Valencia is the last name of my mother. Her ancestors were Semah de Valencia. She always shared the stories of our ancestors in Spain, Netherlands, Curacao, and Venezuela. After visiting the Jewish Quarters in Sagunto, Valencia in 2014, we reconnected with our Sephardic origins to find and track them. These are our #SefaradChronicles.

Jewish Quarters of Sagunto. Arch at Placeta de la Jueria.

We started to reconnect our family stories with  #Sepharad in 2014. We crossed this small arch to enter our first jewish quarters in #Spain ‘La Juderia de Sagunto’ was the beginning our our quest for #sephardicroots and our family #semahdevalencia. We are compiling photos, stories, archives, and more to track our ancestors. These are our #SefaradChronicles.
