Cumberland Island 2018 | Outdoors Learning Adventures and SDGs | Prof. Flor & Dr. Jose G. Lepervanche | @ecaptains

We went to Cumberland Island National Seashore aboard a ferry from St. Marys, Georgia with staff members of L'Arche Rainbow Workshop from Jacksonville, Florida.

We hiked to Sea Camp Beach to have a great yoga class under the sun. After an outdoors lunch and reflections meeting we hiked to Dungeness Ruins to admire the old mansion ruins, the landscape and the horses. We ended our #OutdoorsLearningAdventures with a ranger lecture about StoryShelling. We found friends from South Florida who were camping and kayaking. National Park Service has many options to explore and hand-on learning in north Florida and Georgia. #FloridadNationalParks #GeorgiaNationalParks.

We related these Outdoors Learning Adventures to two of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. #GLOBE4SDGs

#SDG14. Goal 14: Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources.

#SDG15. Goal 15. Sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, halt and reverse land degradation, halt biodiversity loss.
